Photoshop and Lightroom Training

Photoshop and Lightroom training courses

I have been delivering training courses for a number of years now for people who wish to make the most of their own digital photographs.  I offer training courses in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom through Film Oxford and tailored tuition for individuals at your office or home.  Film Oxford courses are normally over two 6 hour days, usually on a weekend.

Film Oxford is a film & creative arts charity which has been providing training and activities for over 30 years. They support local filmmakers, artists, digital creators and young people through a programme of training, creative support, networking and exhibition.  Courses are held in their media suite which has a capacity of up to eight computer workstations, although my courses are normally limited to six or seven students.

Introduction to Adobe Lightroom Classic

Adobe Lightroom is a family of image organisation and image manipulation tools for Windows and macOS. It allows viewing, organising and editing large numbers of digital images by non-destructive methods. Often used by wedding and events photographers, it provides an efficient way of processing large numbers of images without the need to use Photoshop. Lightroom contains its own RAW converter negating the need for additional RAW pre-processing software. The Library features within the program provide excellent organisation, tagging and publishing tools.
This course explores the different modules within Lightroom, demonstrating their functionality and giving practical exercises for learners to gain knowledge and experience.

Note: While this course specifically covers Lightroom Classic (which is desk/laptop orientated) it is also suitable as an introduction for people who have and wish to use Lightroom CC (which has additional mobile device and cloud functionality).

More details of the course can be found on the Film Oxford website.

Introduction to Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop is the world’s most advanced digital imaging software, used by photographers, designers, web professionals, and video professionals. The app gives you the utmost power and creative control for image manipulation and compositing.  Because Photoshop is part of Adobe Creative Cloud, you get access to all the latest updates and future releases the moment they’re available.

Introduction to Photoshop is aimed at confident beginners, is a great introduction to get you started, or for those who have tried to teach themselves and need more help. The class will be small, with plenty of practical hands-on exercises and your tutor will be very supportive, and all equipment is provided.

The course primarily focuses on photo editing however, because you will gain an understanding of the Photoshop interface, you can then go ahead on your own and explore the vast creative possibilities this amazing professional software offers.

More details of the course can be found on the Film Oxford website.
