The last week has mostly been taken up with gig photography at the Amnesty International fund-raiser gig by The Epstein at The Bullingdon in Oxford and then I went straight on to The Amnesty International UK National Conference and AGM 2016 where armed with nothing but my mobile phone I managed to take some great editorial photojournalist photographs for my Instagram account.

A few photos from The Epstein gig stood out for me including these:

While at the Amnesty AGM I did not have a DSLR with me but I did post quite a few photos to my mobile Instagram account guyoxford_mobile using my Samsung Galaxy K Zoom mobile phone camera.  Here are a couple:

And this photo demonstrates just how good the zoom is on the camera phone, even in relatively low light conditions:

It is a real shame that Samsung are no longer going to develop this type of camera phone as the results are better than anything I’ve ever seen from any other phone.  If you are not convinced by the photos I posted without any post-production to Instagram, take a look at this photo I took a couple of weeks ago while passing under Tower Bridge in a speedboat on the Thames.  This is taken with just my Galaxy K Zoom and then has had ‘some’ photographic post production to help bring out the best of the photo:
